Founder of CDF
Tam Nguyen, the founder of the Community Development Fund (CDF), holds degrees in Education, Law, and Business. Before entering the humanitarian non-profit sector, he worked with the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Tourism. His experience with the Global Community Development Foundation inspired him to establish his own organization, CDF. Born and raised in Quang Tri, Tam has dedicated his life to helping disadvantaged children and young adults in the region. Through projects focused on environmental conservation, healthcare programs, support for landmine and Agent Orange victims, disaster relief, and education, he aims to make a significant impact. One such initiative is the new Culinary Life Skills program
Robert Danhi
Chef Educator
Award-winning Chef Robert Danhi is a culinary expert with nearly 40 years in the F&B industry. He is the James Beard Award-winning Southeast Asian cookbook author and TV show host of "Taste of Vietnam," a 26-episode docuseries broadcast globally that highlights the vibrant lives of farmers, artisans, cooks, chefs, and street food vendors. Chef Danhi was also a main judge on every episode of "Top Chef Vietnam." A graduate and former faculty member of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), he has a deep passion and commitment to education. Chef Robert has become an industry thought leader, R&D chef, lifelong student, passionate teacher, prolific conference speaker, and full-time consultant. For the past 15 years, Robert has also been volunteering for the Community Development Fund (CDF), dedicating his time and expertise to support their mission to help the hearing-impaired youth of Vietnam.
