The Community Development Fund (CDF) is proud to lead a transformative 12-month vocational training initiative for hearing-impaired students at the Quang Tri Special Education School, starting in September 2026. Implemented in close collaboration with the Rotary Club of Quang Tri and generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Queenstown (Singapore), this program focuses on comprehensive Barista Skills & Beverage Management.
Designed for 24 deaf youths aged 13 to 17, CDF’s project aims to bridge the gap between education and meaningful employment, giving these young individuals the tools to build self-reliance and bright futures.

A Diverse, Market-Oriented Curriculum
Under CDF’s tailored training framework, students gain practical expertise in crafting a wide array of popular drinks designed to cater to varied customer tastes:
Classic & Traditional Beverages: Mastering iconic Vietnamese coffees, international espresso brews, soothing traditional options like ginger tea, and nutritious fresh fruit smoothies.
Modern Menu Trends: Preparing contemporary favorites, including specialty matcha drinks and boba milk tea.
Essential Operational & Service Skills
Beyond beverage preparation, the program equips trainees with essential hands-on skills required in the service industry:
Customer Service & Table Waiting: Developing effective non-verbal communication techniques to welcome, interact with, and serve patrons with confidence.
Business & Inventory Basics: Learning practical arithmetic for order calculations, point-of-sale handling, budgeting, and sourcing raw ingredients.

Pathways to Employment and Self-Reliance
CDF’s holistic approach ensures that graduates leave with strong technical competence and fundamental business acumen. Whether working at local coffee shops across Quang Tri or running their own small drink stalls, these inspiring youths will be fully prepared to enter the workforce.
Through strong partnerships with RC Quang Tri and RC Queenstown, CDF remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering inclusive community development and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
