The Culinary Life Skills Program has officially launched, and the first weeks of cooking and gardening classes have already brought joy and excitement to the students. As they planted their first vegetables and started learning the basics of cooking.

Strengthening the Foundations
Following our successful Opening Ceremony, the school recognized two key areas for improvement that will support the program’s long-term success:
Recruiting a School Project Coordinator – To ensure the smooth running of the program and support both students and instructors, the school has proposed hiring a dedicated project coordinator. This role will help facilitate communication, oversee daily operations, and ensure that every lesson is as impactful as possible.
Upgrading the School’s Power Supply – The school has identified the need to upgrade its powerline to provide sufficient voltage for running all necessary electric appliances. This upgrade will ensure that our culinary classes can operate without technical limitations.
We are thrilled to share that the budget has been approved for both initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to making this program as effective and sustainable as possible. With these upgrades, we are not only providing cooking lessons, we are strengthening the entire educational ecosystem around them.
Matching Fundraiser: Double Your Impact!
To further support these efforts, we are launching a matching fundraiser for the next month. Every dollar donated will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $5,000! That means every contribution will have twice the impact in helping us enhance the Culinary Life Skills Program. These funds will go directly toward improving infrastructure, hiring the project coordinator, and ensuring that students have access to the resources they need.

With each step forward, we are expanding our vision. The Culinary Life Skills Program is not just about teaching kids how to cook; it’s about equipping them with the skills and knowledge to build a better future. From growing their own food to understanding nutrition and resource management, these children are gaining tools that will serve them for a lifetime.
As we move ahead, we remain committed to improving infrastructure, enhancing curriculum, and ensuring that every student has access to quality learning experiences. This is only the beginning, and we are excited for what’s to come.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build something truly special together!
