Helping minorities towards a better life.
CDF works with local communities to provide safe shelters, sustainable livelihood, and economic development opportunities to rural communities, especially for the ethnic minority groups.
Being the main partner to this project, Hanoi Youth for Community Service has been active in raising fund and getting engaged into helping local ethnic minority people in Quang Tri. Among other aids, the house building program is an essential program to build a foundation for rural and remote communities to be settled down and develop their own lives.

Houses for landmines & Agent Orange victims
The war was over for nearly 50 years, but the impact is still there. Thousands of people have been killed by unexploded ordinance in Quang Tri since 1975. Along with that, the Agent Orange chemical sprayed by US Army still resulted in disabilities among the people. With the support of Hanoi Youth for Community Service, CDF have been able to build more than 42 houses constructed by local woods. These houses are on stilt which help to keep local culture and avoid flooding.

Response to COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted incomes, particularly for ethnic minorities in mountainous regions. In response, HYCS has raised fund to provide essential support to over 100 impoverished individuals and eye patients in Quang Tri province. These relief efforts included distributing food supplies, beverages, and basic medicines to alleviate immediate needs and address the hardships caused by the pandemic's economic fallout.
